Here are the 5 Women in Analytics who can Guide You to the Top!

Gone are those days when technical fields were dominated by men. Today, women scientists are holding top positions in the field of data science and their contributions are pivotal for the industry.
Just a few of the reasons why women are doing so well in data science is because they bring a diverse and fresh approach to the table when it comes to dealing with data. After all, a random data set can hold multiple useful insights and a fresh perspective is required to analyse such data points. Also, women are great communicators, and their ability to explain the outputs of data analytics to non-technical members of the organisation can be the key reason of co-ordinating within a working periphery.
Now that being said, let’s honour the women torch bearers in data science and draw inspiration from their achievements to pursue a dream of our own.

Dharani Karthikeyan is an iconic figure in the field of data science. Currently, she is heading the mobile analytics product development at SAP, playing a role as Director of Engineering. Having an industry experience of close to twenty years, Dharani specializes in analytics as well as enterprise mobility. She has used her skills to shape up the mobile strategy of many leading global companies.
Her achievements in the field related to data science are an inspiration for women in technical fields. Dharani is also a certified design thinking coach and helps professionals gain in-depth understanding of product development.

For women, it is a reassuring sign that many of talented and deserving ladies in analytics have climbed up the corporate ladder to hold top positions. Women still need to take up technical fields as there are not enough women in the STEM fields.
Jaanaki Sankar is a big example of woman leadership in technical field. She is a partner at TheMathCompany, a firm that specializes in data analytics and helps fortune 500 companies make a data driven transformation. Jaanaki skillsets include expertise in customer analytics and e-commerce. She has experience in retail and digital entertainment and has worked with tech giants like Tesco and Mu Sigma.

Are there any women making their presence felt when we speak of innovation in data science? The answer is Yes! Mathangi Sri, head of data science at Phonepe, is leading innovation in data science with 6 patent grants and over 20 patents pending in streams like intuitive customer service. What is even more impressive is that her expertise ranges from ML, text mining, building chatbots, credit scoring systems and natural language processing. These are also the fields of data science witnessing considerable innovation. Mathangi has worked with global firms like Citi, 247 customer and Emirates NBD.

Carrying a head over her shoulders, Deepika Sandeep proved her mettle early on. She is an IIT Madras alumnus with virtual expertise in every stream of data science like text and data mining, ML, AI, pattern recognition, image processing and computational neuroscience etc.
Currently, she is the Analytics and AI Program head at Bharat Light and Power, one of India’s biggest clean energy companies. Her illustrious career includes working with leading analytics companies like NTT DATA.
Aruna Schwarz is one of the co-founders of Stelae Technologies. The company is surging in the field of pattern recognition using artificial intelligence and has filed a patent for content detection in documents with their software called Khemia TM. Aruna carries the right mix of software enterprise skills and knowledge of data scient technology to create her distinct value in the industry. She has an enormous experience of 15 years working with leading tech companies around the globe.
